New vinyl by Enei for Critical Music: "Warehouse" and "Routine", two tracks announced in the label's catalogue. What we know at this stage.
Fresh release announced in the Critical Music catalog: Enei - a historic figure of the label and one of the most recognizable sound designers of the contemporary tech/neuro scene - signs a new title named « Warehouse / Routine », published via the label's releases page on July 13, 2026.
At this stage, this is indeed a catalog announcement - not yet a review. We don't have the full release in hand and we won't reveal a track-by-track description without listening: our role here is to place this release in the trajectory of Enei at Critical and to remind what the duo of tracks suggests.
Enei is one of those artists who have accompanied Critical Music for a long time - Kasra's label has never sought to hide that it values its historic roster. Each release by Enei on Critical fits into a stylistic continuity: heavy basses, clean drums, no unnecessary fat, a club aesthetic that has been the hallmark of the house.
The format « two tracks, two moods » - here Warehouse and Routine - is a classic of the label: one side more direct, dancefloor, and a second that leaves more room for the sound, the texture, what lingers between the kicks. We'll see upon listening which of the two plays this role.
We will review Warehouse and Routine as soon as we have been able to listen to the two tracks in their final mixdown. Verdict to come.
