The rules governing access to and use of the service.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of DBN Link, a network and synchronized radio dedicated to Drum & Bass and sound system culture. By accessing the service or creating an account, you accept these Terms in full.
DBN Link is published on a non-professional basis. Access to the entire service, radio, library and content, is entirely free. It involves no payment, subscription or commercial transaction, and never will.
Because the service is not provided for a fee, consumer-law provisions on distance selling and the right of withdrawal do not apply.
DBN Link exists for one simple reason: to put the creators you have not heard yet at the front of the stage. Drum & Bass is not just a genre, it is a family and a state of mind. Here, your music will be heard, because we love you, the passionate creator who makes it.
We draw a distinction between two roles, without ever setting one against the other: the DJ, who selects, mixes and brings tracks to life, and the composer (or producer), who brings the sound into being. We love every creator. And the one who composes, the one who makes the music, will never be left behind: that is the beating heart of this network.
DBN stands for Drum Bass Network: an open nation, with no casting and no gatekeeping. This is not a commercial platform, it is a rallying point.
Browsing the service is open to all. Some features (submitting a track, commenting) require a free account (email address and password). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out from your account, which is strictly personal. You agree to provide accurate information.
The DBN Link radio plays a synchronized schedule: at any given moment, everyone hears the same sound. Registered members can submit tracks for programming.
Key point: DBN Link does not host, store or rebroadcast any audio file. The service embeds the official player of each track (through YouTube or SoundCloud, for example) and displays only the official stream and its metadata. Playback happens from the original source, which keeps its own play count and any associated revenue. Embedding is carried out through the official players, in compliance with the terms of use of the third-party platforms concerned (YouTube, SoundCloud).
By submitting a track, you declare that you hold the rights to it or have the necessary permission, and you grant DBN Link a non-exclusive, free and revocable licence to schedule and embed your official stream in the radio and the library, with credit to the creator. You may request the removal of a track at any time; it will be taken off the schedule without delay. You indemnify the publisher against any third-party claim arising from a submission for which you do not hold the necessary rights or permissions.
Tracks are labelled by nature (original production or DJ set / mix) and are subject to moderation before going on air. Submissions that are clearly off-topic, unlawful or whose rights are not established are set aside.
The content you publish or submit remains your property. By publishing it, you grant the publisher a non-exclusive, free licence to display it on the service. Unlawful, defamatory, abusive, hateful content or content contrary to public order is prohibited and may be removed without notice.
The music played remains the full property of its creators; DBN Link claims no rights over it. The other elements of the service (visual identity, layout, editorial texts, illustrations, code) are protected by copyright. Any reproduction or representation, in whole or in part, without prior authorization, is prohibited. A short quotation remains possible provided the source is credited and links back to the original URL.
The illustrations and some graphic elements of the service are produced by artificial intelligence, using Nimpress technology, and are flagged as such. The signatures behind this visual art direction are editorial signatures, not physical persons. The music itself is never generated by artificial intelligence: it is, and will always remain, the work of the human creators we champion.
Some comments may be generated by artificial intelligence to spark discussion; when so, they are flagged and kept distinct from the comments of registered members.
The service embeds content hosted by third parties (streaming platforms), over which the publisher exercises no control and for which it cannot be held responsible. Nor can the publisher be held responsible for any interruption of the service, event of force majeure, or unavailability of a third-party stream. Editorial content reflects the opinion of its authors and is provided for information purposes.
The processing of your data is described in our privacy policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
DBN Link is published and directed by Dakito, the pen name and artist name of its founder, who bears editorial and legal responsibility for it.
In accordance with Article 6, III, 2° of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), the publisher, a physical person publishing on a non-professional basis, has provided their civil identity to the host, which keeps it available to the judicial authority, and has chosen to make it public only under this artist name. The full legal notice appears on the Legal notice page.
You may delete your account at any time from your personal area. The publisher may terminate an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, with prior notice except in cases of proven fraud.
These Terms may be amended at any time; the applicable version is the one online at the time of your access. They are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.
