Context
Addison Groove and Sam Binga have been collaborating for a long time. Their first joint work, the EP BS3, was released in 2013. Thirteen years later, they're back with a full-length project: BAGS INC., on Pineapple Records - their first LP together.
The Project
The album deliberately sits between 140 and 155 BPM, a tempo range that allows various aesthetics to breathe: Chicago house, Detroit techno, electro, juke, ghettotech, ghetto house, Chicago juke, and Detroit jit. The guiding principle is the American Midwest and its club codes - bass weight, vocal chops, fast patterns.
This is not a pure drum & bass record. It's a cross-genre project that uses tempo as a hinge between several scenes that the two producers have frequented for years. Let's say it clearly: if you expect a project strictly aligned with neuro/liquid/jump-up, you'll be surprised.

Provisional Verdict
At this stage, we haven't listened to it yet - so it's impossible to comment track by track. What we know, however, is that the duo has proven itself since BS3.
